You can use two Air Pads for this when you upgrade your station to a Fortress. Upgrade 5 Supply Pads to Heavy Pads, build two reactors and start churning out Hornets. Add a Turret when you can to help the Elephants defend your base. Losing the war, the Forerunners constructed and activated the titular Halo rings, which were designed to destroy all life that the Flood could potentially prey upon starving the Flood. You begin with an extra couple of Supply Pads, but you'll want to upgrade these and add more, so a Reactor should come first. A large supply of Hornets is your long-term goal, as they can move about freely and take on most Flood forms without much risk. Have all 5 Flood Colonies Dormant at Once (1700)
